Brittny Sparrow represented the Miss Greater Berks County Scholarship Organization in 2005. She competed in the Miss Pennsylvania Scholarship Organization for three more years holding the titles of Miss Central Pennsylvania 2006, Miss Cambria County 2007, and Miss Golden Triangle 2008. In 2007 and again in 2008 Brittny placed fourth runner-up to Miss Pennsylvania. During her four years of involvement, Brittny volunteered and advocated for the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, spending countless hours in inner city schools promoting and working with after school initiatives such as the Make Your MARK, Motivated Academically Ready Kids, program. In four years, Brittny accumulated $9,350 in scholarship dollars. Brittney is a 2007 cum laude graduate of Muhlenberg College with a BA in Media and Communication as well as an elementary education certification. At Muhlenber, Brittny was the captain of her coed cheerleading squad, philanthropist for the Delta Zeta National Sorority, a member of the Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership Honor Society, a President’s Award |

Nominee, and a recipient of the Player’s Player Award for Althetics. She also completed an internship with the education department of PBS in the Lehigh Valley. Brittney is currently a fourth grade teacher at Sheridan Elementary in the Allentown School District. She also still works for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Allentown. Brittny hopes to obtain her Master’s Degree in Reading, continue teaching in the classroom, and eventually work for the U.S. Department of Education. Brittny is the current Co-Executive Director for the Miss Greater Berks County Scholarship Organization. She hopes to provide young women with the same positive experience she was fortunate enough to have during her years of competition. Brittny currently resides in Whitehall, PA with her kitties Lily and Tux. In her free time, she enjoys working out, watching movies, reading, and spending time with her family and friends. |

Christina Maureen Keegan , Miss Nevada 2009, recently completed her first year of medical education at the University of Utah School of Medicine where she received academic honors. She served as a class councilwoman, a student manager of the 4th Street Clinic for the homeless, and a mentor for the Association of Future Female Physicians. In 2007, after only three and a half years, Christina earned her undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology with a minor in psychology from Rosemont College. While at Rosemont, Christina was honored for her commitment to leadership, community spirit, academic excellence, and service through receipt of the Dean of Students’ and Who’s Who Amoung American College and University Students awards. She also received the Presidential Scholarship, and was a three-year Dean’s List student. In 2004, Christina graduated as a Nevada Silver Scholar from Douglas High School. as well as multiple styles of classical Indian dance. She has been a student at All About Dance studio of Minden for nearly ten years, and will be performing Ballet en Pointe for the talent competition at Miss America. During her year of service, Christina will utilize her title of Miss Nevada to promote her personal platform entitled “Strength Over Silence: Rape Education and Recovery”. As a survivor of rape, Christina will spend her year advocating for victims’rights statewide by working with state legislators. She will also work to educate others on ways to prevent rape and sexual assault as well as educating perpetrators so they may have a greater understanding of the violent and painful nature which surrounds this crime. As a long time volunteer for RAINN (Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network), Christina hopes to orchestrate a national discussion on what has long been considered a taboo and highly stigmatized subject. By leading other victims through their journey to recovery, Christina has helped to create a stronger generation of survivors. As a medical student and four year volunteer for various pediatric hospitals, Christina is also excited to continue her relationship with the Children’s Miracle Network, which serves as the national platform of the Miss America Organization. Throughout her year as Miss Nevada, Christina will be working to fundraise for the Silver State’s two cMN hospitals as well as work hands on with the pediatric patients of Renown and St. Rose Dominican hospitals. Throughout her six years as a Miss America contestant, Christina has received both the Miss America State Academic and Community Service awards, and has earned nearly $20, 000 in scholarship assistance. Christina is the daughter of Jim and Tina Keegan of Gardnerville, Nevada and the sister of Jim, Nancy, Kathy, Phillip, and Peter.
